Accessibility Statement
Accessibility isn't a checkbox for us. It's part of turning chaos into community for every family in your school.
Our commitment
Ballfrog is committed to ensuring that everything we build, including the branded apps and websites we make for schools, is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability or technology. We continually work to improve the experience and to apply the relevant accessibility standards.
Conformance
Our apps and companion websites are designed to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA, applied to mobile apps following the W3C WCAG2Mobile guidance, and to support compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Title II and Title III (as applicable), Section 504, and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, which require equal access to digital information for people with disabilities. We review against these standards as we ship changes to maintain conformance.
Some of the measures we take
• Compatibility with screen readers, including VoiceOver on iOS and TalkBack on Android.
• Operation with an external keyboard and with Switch Control (iOS) and Switch Access (Android).
• Support for your system text-size setting.
• Respect for the system “Reduce Motion” setting, with the option to turn autoplay back on.
• Sufficient color contrast and visible focus indicators.
• Descriptive labels for buttons and icons, and text alternatives for meaningful images.
• Single-tap alternatives to gestures and comfortably sized tap targets.
• Real-time translation so families can follow along in their own language.
Ongoing effort
Accessibility is an ongoing process, not a one-time project. Because our apps and sites reflect each school’s brand and colors, certain visual elements may occasionally affect color contrast. We work to fix any issues we find, whether through our own audits or feedback from the people who use them. We also test against commonly used assistive technologies such as VoiceOver, NVDA, and JAWS.
Feedback and contact
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on Ballfrog.com or in a Ballfrog-powered app, please let us know at accessibility@ballfrog.com. Include the page or screen, the issue you ran into, and the assistive technology you were using if applicable. We aim to respond within 5 business days.
